Happy Mother's Day to me!

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. I have been just to busy to post anything about it. I know I can at least get the sympathy vote from all you other mom's out there! Just too much to do! I think another reason I didn't write anything is I am still trying to wrap my head around the significance of it all. I don't mean the actual holiday...I am talking about Motherhood. I'm trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I am a Mother! I have so many emotions running through me in regards to this new 'role' I have taken on. I love this new role, yet it is truly the hardest thing I have ever done. I have such a sweet little life that I am responsible for and it is quite overwhelming at times...but mostly just pure joy to be his mom! I am blessed and for that I am truly thankful.

Cuttin' Teeth!

A few days ago we noticed a tooth trying to rear it's ugly head in Isaiah's mouth! I got this one wrong...for some reason I just knew he wasn't going to start teething for awhile now. But oh how I was wrong. His bottom right tooth is headed this way. The reason I say 'Ugly Head' is because has he been quite the little fussy guy this week. Poor lil guy...he is running fever and just having a hard time. Hopefully it will finally break all the way through and he will feel better soon. If you click on the picture and look real close, you will be able to see the tooth about to come in.

Markus' B-Day

Markus had a birthday April 24th and I haven't had a chance to update the blog about it. Nothing like a month late! Also that day we celebrated Isaiah's 7 month with us in this big world! We had a good day to say the least. I attempted to make a cake and it was pretty yummy I must say...but I think I will never have a career as a cake decorator. Oh Well, it's the thought that counts! His birthday was on a Friday and he is off that day so he basically got to spend the day with Isaiah. I had to work, but I think he had a good one anyway. That night we went out with some friends to our favorite place...the Old Monk. It was such a wonderful evening. We hadn't been out with friends since before Isaiah was born. I can't remember when a glass of wine ever tasted so good! Mom came over and watched the little man and he did wonderful. It was just a great night all around. I hope Markus felt special and loved.

Slow Poke

The other day I was driving down the road and I saw a little baby turtle crossing the road. I almost ran over the little guy...but thankfully I saw him and came to a screeching halt. Got out of the car and stood there in the middle of the road (in our neighborhood, so it was not dangerous) and scratched my head as to what to do. He was a baby...well, in human terms more like a lil toddler...haha. That being said, he was so little and looked so lonely without a mama. I helped him across the road but then I got worried for him. So I ended up taking him home with me. Then as I did some research about turtles I realized that I actually should have just kept with my original plan. I should have just helped cross the street. So...Isaiah and I freed slow poke. We put him on the side of the road that he was going. Apparently, when you see a turtle cross the road you are supposed to help them along in the direction they are going. They know where they are going. Anyway, I hope he arrived at his destination and that his mama was there with open arms waiting for his return. Even if it was for a brief moment in time, Isaiah and I enjoyed our little friend...'Slow Poke'

Cheesy Pics

I have had some cheap and cheesy pics taken of Isaiah every 3 months. I guess it's just something you do as a parent for your baby. Good for the grandparents! Anyway...here are his 3 and 6 month pics. How cute is he? Notice how much more hair he had at 3 mths and it was so dark. I miss his blank bushy hair!
