The other day I was driving down the road and I saw a little baby turtle crossing the road. I almost ran over the little guy...but thankfully I saw him and came to a screeching halt. Got out of the car and stood there in the middle of the road (in our neighborhood, so it was not dangerous) and scratched my head as to what to do. He was a baby...well, in human terms more like a lil toddler...haha. That being said, he was so little and looked so lonely without a mama. I helped him across the road but then I got worried for him. So I ended up taking him home with me. Then as I did some research about turtles I realized that I actually should have just kept with my original plan. I should have just helped cross the street. So...Isaiah and I freed slow poke. We put him on the side of the road that he was going. Apparently, when you see a turtle cross the road you are supposed to help them along in the direction they are going. They know where they are going. Anyway, I hope he arrived at his destination and that his mama was there with open arms waiting for his return. Even if it was for a brief moment in time, Isaiah and I enjoyed our little friend...'Slow Poke'
We freed Slow Poke
